Valley of Flowers- The fairy-land in the mighty Himalayas

Valley of Flowers is a fairy-land situated high in the Himalayas of the Uttaranchal, at an altitude of 3,600 meters above the sea-level, protected by snowy mountains. Unknown to humans, for centuries this enchanting valley lay frozen during the colder months, and burst into its youthful beauty every year, as the snow melted with the advent of summer. Every year, the valley was splashed with color as it bloomed with hundreds of kinds of flowers, taking on various shades of colors as months progressed.

Route Map..

Location
The valley is located in Chamoli Garhwal in the state of Uttaranchal, close to Nanda Devi National Park. About 595 kilometres from Delhi, the altitude of the place varies from 3,200 m to 6,675m.

Best Time to Visit
The best time to be here is in the months of July and August after the snow has melted. That's when the weather is pleasant and the flowers are also in their full bloom.

Mahabalipuram- Dynasty of the Pallavas..

Globally renown for its shore temples, Mahabalipuram(also called 'Mamallapuram'- The City Of Bali) was the second capital of the Pallava kings of Kanchipuram. 58 kilometres from Madras on the Bay of Bengal, this tiny sea - side village of Mahabalipuram, is set in a boulder - strewn landscape. Tourists are drawn to this place by its miles of unspoiled beach and rock-cut art. The sculpture, here, is particularly interesting because it shows scenes of day-to- day life, in contrast with the rest of the state of Tamil Nadu, where the carvings generally depict gods and goddesses.

This group of sanctuaries, founded by the Pallava kings, was carved out of rock along the Coromandel coast in the 7th and 8th centuries. It is known especially for its rathas(temples in the form of chariots), mandapas (cave sanctuaries), giant open-air reliefs such as the famous 'Descent of the Ganges', and the temple of Rivage, with thousands of sculptures.

Location: 58-Km From Chennai, Tamil Nadu
30-Km from Thiruvanmiyur(Place where East Cost Road-ECR,which                       leads to Pondicheri- starts)

Cherai- Mix of Sun, Sand and the Sea..

Approximately 30 kilometres from Kochi, the commercial hub of Kerala, Cherai is sheer eye candy! It is a delectable combination of green paddy fields, coconut palms, backwaters and of course, the omnipresent Arabian Sea.

Cherai Beach is a 15-km long undulating strip of sand and surf. It has the distinction of being one of the cleanest beaches in India and owing its shallow depths, is safe for swimming, surfing and sunbathing. The newly spruced up 400 meters of Cherai Beach features a walkway and High Mask Lamps that lend the environs a magical touch at night. Security personnel are on duty 24X7 to lend visitors a helping hand. There is a Children’s Park on Cherai Beach ensuring the kids are entertained as well. You could also hire Water Scooters and Speed Boats and go for a spin in the sea.
